Tonka Mighty Dump with Construction Helmet
by Jason PrawThis sturdy, made-with-steel, kickin' mighty dump truck includes a tilt-back dump box just ready to haul "shmootz" all over the place ("shmootz", as my mother would tell you, is a Yiddish word meaning dirt). That aside, this four-wheeled monster is, as you would expect from Tonka, solid. In fact, it's solid enough to carry my 30-pound son around the basement at (relatively) high speeds.
The truck has realistic and authentic detailing from bumper to bumper, highlighted by Tonka's famous bright yellow. Even though the tires are rugged-hard plastic (apparently tested for 100 miles of tough sandbox play), I would have loved to see some big rubber tires on this puppy, even if it meant re-inflating them on occasion. That being said, the tires all have deep treads for extra traction and don't back down for anything, save maybe the real thing.
Save money on that wheel barrel you were going to buy and get the kids to move that dirt around.
...and as my mother says, "keep on truckin'!" (which actually sounds quite a bit different in Yiddish.)
