Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5)

by Rhea V. Ewer

Back for his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, what will the adventure be this time? With each of the four prequels earning the number 1 spot as bestseller, it's worth the read to find out.

The Order of the Phoenix sees a 5th year at Hogwarts School, and a 15-year-old Harry Potter work his way through a darker tale than readers have experienced over the past 4 installments. I suppose that is the result when you put a Potter smack in the middle of teenage angst, a Professor Dumbledore who is attracting the doubt and scrutiny of the Ministry of Magic, and the return of "you know who" (yeah, yeah... Voldemort, that's right.)

The Order of the Phoenix sees the return of Quiddich (though not as you might expect), Harry's beginning transition into adulthood (though not as you might expect), girls, heroism, friendship, spells, and adolescent self-doubt... and much more (though none of which will present themselves exactly as you would expect.)

Few titles have earned that "read it and find out" confidence, (knowing the reader won't be disappointed). If Harry Potter has not earned that confidence... then who has?
