Adam Sharp, the Spy Who Barked (Adam Sharp, Book 1)

by Sabrina Zuccaro

Average User Rating:

This is a short chapter book geared towards second and third graders. The protagonist is a boy named Adam Sharp who considers himself a spy. In this particular book, Adam's lunchbox has been stolen. His lunchbox is not at all ordinary. Instead of carrying Adam's lunch, it contains his computer with a top-secret program in it. Now, Adam has to find his precious lunchbox before someone else finds it and discovers all of Adam's secrets. I read this book to my son because he is not a particularly strong reader. He did however really enjoy the story because he thought it was adventurous. He wanted me to keep reading so as to find out he wanted to know what happened next. The illustrations also appealed to him. I would definitely recommend this exciting book for young readers, and both my son and I are looking forward to reading the three other installments in this series.

Great book for children who are starting to read well. If you liked the first, there are three more in the series.
