Cow and Pig (Stroller Softies)
A Barron's Educational Toy, this is a set of soft cloth books for baby and toddler.
Jump for joy! It's two separate cloth books, "Cow" and "Pig", that may be attached to baby's stroller, carriage, high chair or for that matter, any place where a child may enjoy looking at these books. Approximately 8 1/2cm by 8 1/2cm and about 4cm thick, baby gets his/her own books. When baby decides to throw or drop them, parents need not worry about retrieving or losing these softies. They're attached by looped handles with velcro tips to baby's stroller.
Made of new materials which are 100% polyurethane foam and 100% polyester fiber, the books are soft, cuddly and the surface is washable. Cloth components are non-toxic and comply with U.S. and Canadian safety standards. Funny cow-face and pig-face bookcovers attract baby's attention. Within the six pages of each book, both white and black little cow, and pink piglet engage in activities such as bouncing a ball, jumping rope, drawing a picture and flying a kite.
Ilustrations are simple, bright and colorful enough to keep baby's attention. Each page contains text in structured basic sentences for early readers.
Tips
Read softies to baby first and often to show left to right progression while turning pages. Play - "Can you find the . . .?" to enhance vocabulary development.
It's never too soon to get babies interested in books.
