Crazy Hair Day - Children's Book

by Annie Rosenberg

It's Crazy Hair Day at school and Stanley can't wait — until he realizes that he's gotten his dates mixed up!

It's Crazy Hair Day at school and Stanley can't wait! He even gets up early to coax his hair into multicolored spikes.

When he arrives at school with his new hair-do, he discovers, to his horror that Crazy Hair Day is NEXT Friday. Today, rather, is School Picture Day.

After his friend Larry teases him, Stanley is so embarrassed he hides out in the bathroom and refuses to come out. He spends most of the day alone, counting drops of water from a leaky faucet. When he finally decides to risk more teasing and get his picture taken, he learns that his class has found a creative way to make him feel right at home.

Saltzberg's playful text is appealing and his whimsical illustrations are great fun. This joyful celebration of friendship and solidarity will strike a chord with children everywhere.
