Don't Know Much About World Myths

by Debbie Seward

A delightful book of stories from around the world.

World Myths is filled with short excerpts of original myths from all over the world, allowing everyone - young and old - a glimpse into the world of myth and mythology and offering a wealth of information to anyone simply curious about myths.

Kenneth C. Davis is a wonderful author who has taken sometimes difficult to understand myths and rewritten them in understandable language for readers of all ages to enjoy. Many of the short stories are insightful and very entertaining, giving the reader a clearer understanding of stories that have been passed down from generation to generation.

The author starts off by giving some insight into the origins of myths and answering some basic questions, and continues on as the book itself is laid out in a question and answer format for easy interpretation with the odd quote scattered about the pages.

The font is big and easy to read and the content is at a level that most school age children can comprehend. The entire books is in black and white with some child-like but very entertaining illustrations and images.

I highly recommend World Myths to anyone interested in myths and mythology.
