Forever Friends
In this short book, we get to view the special boy-dog relationship through Petey's eyes, the pup of this story.
Petey is crazy about Skip, his human friend. He shows us all of the things that he does daily, to care for Skip. Who knew that our pets had so much on their plates? It can really make you wonder, who takes care of whom?
After reading this, my daughter and I are now aware that being a dog isn't all about just eating, sleeping and pooping. Maybe the real reason dogs have four paws, is because they wouldn't be able to handle their workload with only two! But as with every good relationship, Skip loves Petey just as much, and contributes to the relationship as well (most often as the facilitator of the aforementioned eating, sleeping, and pooping).
This is a heartwarming story about two "forever friends". It's an excellent book for new readers to read as each page often has only one sentence -- and the sentence almost reads itself upon viewing its perfectly complimentary, accompanying picture. Very nice!
