Little School
Little School takes you through a day in the life of 20 preschoolers from the time they wake up and get ready for school until they go to sleep at night. It shows how each one travels to school and what happens when they arrive. It names different items within their classroom. It shows activities they participate in, art projects they do and supplies they use, what happens before and during snack time, toys and games they play with during play-time. It shows some of the problems they encounter, and some fun activities they participate in. It shows them playing on the playground and names all of the playground equipment. Then it shows cleanup time, the arrival of parents, and what happens after school up until bedtime.
Having spent many days at preschool helping my son's teacher, I was impressed at how realistic this book is. It doesn't just paint a rosy picture of how great preschool is. It shows some of the problems that can and do occur.
My son totally related to it, pointing out all of the things that he has in his classroom and all of the activities that his class has done. He even pointed out the things that he hasn't done and wants to tell his teacher about them.
