Mister Got To Go and Arnie

by Meagan Myhren-Bennett

Mister Got To Go is a large grey cat who has lived at the Hotel Sylvia for 7 years. He's happy spending his days watching the rain in the winter or sunning himself in the summer. One day everything changes - Mister Foster (the hotel manager) comes out of his office carrying something too small to be a dog -- but it is a dog! A small yipping, yapping, noisy dog named Arnie.

Got To Go is so disgusted that he hides in the furnace room for 3 days. Nothing will tempt him to come back upstairs where Arnie is barking non-stop. Finally, Mister Foster coaxes Got To Go out into the open, but nothing is the way it used to be. For one thing, Arnie follows Got To Go around, barking non-stop, secondly, he always gets between Got To Go and his favorite window sill in Mister Foster's office, and thirdly, he's always getting himself into trouble.

Eventually, Got To Go and Mister Foster have both had enough, and call upon Madame LaTour and her dog Fifi from France. When the pair arrive, big changes are about to come for Arnie -- will he successfully learn how to stay out of trouble, to stop barking, and to obey commands in French?

Suffice to say that after many twists and turns, life at the Sylvia Hotel is once again, very, very good for Got To Go.
