Now I Eat My ABC's

by Carolyn R. Drebin

A yummy book showing pictures of foods from A-Z.

This isn't your everyday ABC book. This one contains delicious photographs of foods from Asparagus to Zucchini! And they aren't just pictures of foods either. Each page is a photograph of a letter, shaped by the foods: a tower of ice forms the letter "I", a red Ketchup "K" decorates a burger, and four wedges of pizza make a "X" - for X-tra cheese! This is a fun and original way to learn the alphabet, a far cry from the usual animals or everyday words. And there are all kinds of foods here too: udon noodles, tacos, quesadillas are found among the more comon french fries, oranges and watermelon.

My 14-month old son loves to look at the photos of the foods and enjoys flipping the hard-cover pages. At the back of the book is a spread of all the letters so kids can identify what they've already seen. This is a simple, yet appealing book for babies and toddlers to read with their parents. And a yummy way of learning the alphabet!
