Oh No, Gotta Go!

by Candice Cooper

It never fails. The moment a car pulls away from home, someone has to go to the bathroom. "Where is un bano?"

While on a Sunday drive with her parents, a little girl suddenly announces that she needs a bathroom, and fast! All the shops are closed on Sunday, but eventually the family gets directions to a restaurant that is open.

Along the way the girl becomes almost frantic in her attempts to hold her water. "Hurry, Papa. Y Mas rapidamente!" At the restuarant, the family discovers a long line for the ladies room. The women are kind enough to let the little girl go first and all is well again for her until she and her family are back in the car on the way home. "Where is un bano?!"

This comical book incorporates Spanish with English in a fairly simple to understand manner. It is written as a cute little poem that can be read through sing-song style. Perfect for youngsters learning or interested in learning Spanish as a second language. Although the context of Spanish words makes translation apparent, a glossary is included to aid understanding. "Oh No, Gotta Go!" is a really fun and easy way to teach a child some Spanish.
