Picture Tags: Make Your Own Charms

by Candice Cooper

"Make Your Own Charms: Picture Tags" is a 40-page, full color, spiral-bound guide which gives detailed instructions with matching illustrations that are very easy to follow. Attached to the front of the book are all the supplies you will need: 24 metal-rimmed tags in various shapes and colors, three yards of pleather cord, 24 jump rings, 604 punch-out art pieces, 24 assorted rhinestones, clear glaze with brush, glitter and plastic templates for cutting your own designs.

The first step is to punch out a picture from the book (or use one of your own) then choose your tag and place it on a piece of paper. Next there are a few steps involving the application of glaze, your picture, and allowing time to air dry.....and voila....you have a completed picture tag.

To spice up your designs or to create a charm, use tiny jewels, beads, buttons, sequins, etc. Anything you can find that is small enough to fit within the boundaries of the metal frame around the tag can be used.

Employ the pleather cord to make necklaces and utilize the jump rings to make multiple charm bracelets. Glitter will add that special sparkle, perfecting your one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

This kit is one that kids 8 and up can use independently. The guide's format is simple and straight-forward so adult assistance isn't necessary guaranteeing personal satisfaction for young egos.
