Pocket Poems

by Lisa Woodworth

"Pocket Poems" is a collection of 54 "pocket-sized" children's poems, written by various authors. Most of the verses in this book rhyme, making it easy to read and remember, and also making it very pleasant for ears young and old alike.

Each child, like my 3-year-old daughter, will undoubtedly find a few favorites within the pages. Some days they may decide to only look at these few; but given that the poems are all small enough to fit in your pocket, reading the book in its entirety is absolutely doable in one sitting as well.

Many of the poems are only a few lines long, so if a particular poem doesn't hold the interest of the reader or listener, boredom never really has time to set in.

This book offers a nice assortment of poems for our future Emily Dickinsons and John Keats' out there, to sample.
