Quigleys at Large
This charming family once again delights its young readers with real day-to-day experiences that families encounter. From dad losing the family budgie, to mom having her wisdom teeth pulled, to little brother getting locked in the local school, and sister finding a new and special friend; Simon Mason takes a very humorous approach to each situation.
As a reader, we can all relate to the Quigleys, as they are just an ordinary family going through ordinary experiences. But, Mason manages to capture and amuse his readers with charm, a talent for highlighting the ridiculous, and through the sharing of this family's affection for one another.
I would recommend this book for young readers between the ages of 7 - 9 years old.
