"Rocko and Spanky Go to a Party" is a lively picture book featuring a VERY lively pair of "spunky and uncommonly funky" twin sock monkeys.
Conceived by sisters Kara and Jenna LaReau in their picture book debut, this energetic book is the first in their series of simian adventures. The excitement begins when Rocko and Spanky are invited to a big birthday bash on Saturday. Tension mounts as the twins can't decide what to wear, what to bring, and a host of other wee bitty details, the most important of which being — "just whose birthday party is this, anyway?"
The quirky, funky illustrations capture the story's mood using a host of tools: digital photography, colored pencils, crayons, and "one pair of Red Heel socks."
"Rocko and Spanky" is great fun, and best of all, the book comes complete with instructions for wrapping presents the Rocko and Spanky way.
