Snug As a Bug
by Caroline Sand
Snug as a Bug is a cozy bedtime book that describes all sorts of bedtime rituals with a variety of insects in their pajamas, getting ready for bed, or already soundly sleeping.
The text is simple and sweet, with the illustrations serving as the winning feature of the book. The text does not actually go so far as to tell a story, and would therefore be more suitable for younger children, who do not need a bedtime STORY. It is therefore a bit of a shame that it is not a board book, because younger children tend to destroy the pages of regular books.
Still, for the right time, age and place, it is a sweet and cozy bedtime read.
