Stanley Goes for a Drive
by Dianna Johnston
Stanley goes for a drive in his pickup truck. Everything is hot, dry and dusty. As Stanley passes a herd of cows he has an idea. He stops his truck, takes out some buckets and heads for a spotted cow.
He milks the spotted cow and throws the milk up into the sky. The milk becomes clouds and the clouds begin to rain. When the rain stops the air is cool and the trees and grass are green. Stanley turns his truck around and heads home.
This is a wonderful book about using your imagination. It starts out like an ordinary, hot summer day and turns into something wonderful and magical. My son enjoyed reading it to me.
