The Teen Oracle: The Magical Way for Teens to Answer Questions About Love, Style, Friends, and Futures
An oracle is a method for asking and getting answers to questions that may seem too hard for us to answer on our own. Using an oracle is called divination. People use oracles and divination to help them make decisions and get around difficult corners in their lives.
"The Teen Oracle" comes with a 96-page paperback instruction book with full-color illustrations, 25 Oracle cards and 25 Help! cards. The book needs to be read from front to back to fully understand how to use this system.
The book is broken down into 5 sections. Section 1 -- Fate, Luck, and All That Stuff -- gives a brief but thorough explanation about oracles and how to use them. Section 2 -- What Do You Want To Know? -- guides you in how to ask the questions emphasizing how your wording can effect the outcome of the reading. Section 3 -- So What's It All About? - gives examples of readings and spreads. Section 4 - Unwrapping the Answer -- teaches you how to interpret your reading. And section 5 -- The Web Of Life and the Oracle Cards -- explains each of the 25 oracle cards.
This set is appropriate for ages 14 and up. It is fairly advanced and it will take quite a bit of dedication on the users part to learn how to properly use the system. The book encourages starting with small, insignificant questions to get a feel for how this all works. The basic idea is much like that of the original Magic 8 Ball...times 1000. "The Teen Oracle" is super detailed and very involved, but I could see teens hosting Teen Oracle parties once the process is mastered.
