Where the Sidewalk Ends 30th Anniversary Edition: Poems and Drawings

by Dave Anguzza

You will never get bored, you'll start to imagine. Before you know it, you'll feel like you're 6 again.

What needs to be said about Shel Silverstein that hasn't already been thought by anyone that has already been touched by his magic?

Where the sidewalk ends is a journey to many places, seeing many things that we have always wanted to imagine. Pure ignition of fun and so playful that it makes you want to stand up and wave your arms with each croak of the rhythms and flow of his poems, Shel gives us back a little youth. My children adored the silly tales and laughed at the outrageous ideas that this book brings to life.

My 10-year-old would not put it down. He insisted on reading several of his favorite poems to me. I even caught him with his reading light on, sneaking a few last reads that I'm sure he hoped would follow him into his dreams that night.
