Wonder Woman: The Journey Begins

by Dianna Johnston

"Wonder Woman, The Journey Begins" starts with a prologue that explains who Wonder Woman is and where she is from. It explains that the gods and goddesses of Mount Olympus granted Wonder Woman's people immortality many years ago. It also explains that Wonder Woman was granted special powers and was chosen to defend Mortals' World from evil.

Wonder Woman, armed with her Golden Lasso of Truth, silver bracelets, and the wisdom of her people flies to Mortals' World. She disguises herself as a mortal and begins her search for Ares, the god of war. Ares is stirring up trouble and Wonder Woman must stop him before he destroys Mortals' World. Will Wonder Woman stop Ares or will Ares destroy Wonder Woman?

This book is packed with action. Wonder woman uses all of her powers in a battle with Ares in an attempt to convince him to release Mortals' World from his evil powers. It is only when the Lasso of Truth shows him that the outcome leads to his own destruction that he decides to release mortals from his spell.
