You're a Bear

by Caroline Sand

This book shows a young child pretending to be a bear throughout the day, as she eats, bathes, and does a variety of other daily activities.

Young children love to use their imaginations, and will be able to relate to the young girl in this book. Unfortunately, I found the text to be awkward and stilted, and not up to par with the beautiful illustrations and idea behind the book. So when reading it to my niece, I just ad-libbed, and didn't worry too much about "reading" it, and instead focused her attention on the lovely illustrations and what the little girl is doing in each one, how she looks like a bear, etc.
