Don't Make Me Laugh Jr. Game
by Lisa WoodworthAlthough the box says that this is game for kids aged 5 and up, it was a huge hit with our family, especially with my 3 year old daughter. She just knew that she was going to have fun and she broke out in laughter when I told her what the name of the game was.
This game's objective is to have fun with your friends and family. With an object like this one, everyone wins. But if you want to get technical, to 'win' the game you have to be the first to get your token from "The Little Chuckle" to "The Big Guffaw". This is done by rolling the die and moving that number of spaces along the board. One of the spaces that you might land on is "Go to Lolo Land" where you are suspended from game play until you can roll a 1, 2 or 3 to get out. Laughter spaces are common on the board. When you land on one of these, you pick a card that instructs you to perform a task, sometimes by yourself, sometimes with a partner and sometimes the whole group gets involved. An example of one of these cards is: Be an old person without any teeth. All of these cards will guarantee a smile at the least, though many do produce some pretty hearty side splitters. My daughter's favorite space to land on is "Choose someone to wear clown nose" or, "Wear clown nose". When it was just my her and me playing the game, many times we didn't get to land on the prized space even once, as there are only 4 such spaces on the board. But the more people we had playing the game, the better our chances of having someone land on the space. We found the more players we added to the game, the more laughs we added as well.
This is a great game for the whole family -- one that has been and will continue to be played often.
