Elefun Game

by Lisa Woodworth

My daughter got this game for Christmas. That was nearly 5 months ago and only a few days have gone by that she hasn't asked to play it. When we were humming and hawing about what to get her, we thought that she would tire of this one, like a lot of her other games, and it would sit on the shelf. Wrong!

It's a simple but, as the name implies, fun game. The elephant spews paper butterflies out of his trunk and the object of the game is to be the one that catches the most in your net. There is no reading to be had and no little men or dice to get lost. Kids of all ages can play, even adult kids. The nets are mesh and the handles are made of a soft, pliable plastic. So, even with the most excited kids in a really frantic game, nobody can get hurt.

Since I am a new mom with my hands always busy either feeding or changing baby, this game has come in handy. While it is a game a group of kids enjoy playing together, it's also one that they are contented to play on their own. Would be a hit as a birthday gift for boys or girls aged 2 to 6.
