The Bottom Line:
When Benjamin, Crista, and Marco’s uncle Rudy goes missing while looking for the mythical Yeti they embark on a grand adventure to recover him and bring him home. It’s up to the viewers to decide if the kids will rescue their uncle and discover the secret of the Yeti or get caught in a roaring avalanche, fight off evil poachers, or run from hungry lions. Their fate is in your hands via your remote control.

The Scoop:
This DVD was entertaining with cute characters and a fun storyline. It was cool to get to choose which path to take and very easy to do with the DVD remote. However, when choosing your path, you only have about 30 seconds before the narrator does it for you. This proved to be frustrating to my kids. They wanted more time to think about it and talk it over and they ended up just feeling a bit stressed as the clock counted down their decision time. The first time we watched the movie, we completed our entire adventure in under 20 minutes even though there is an 80 minute possibility. We were able to easily go back and choose a different path from any crossroad we had already encountered, so we did, and often. Overall, “Choose Your Own Adventure” is great fun and a nice change of pace for family movie night.
