Which Kids Will Like It?
Preschoolers aged 3 and up will love to sing and dance along with these young, energetic and talented performers.

Will Parents Like It?
You’ll like that it’s not syrupy sweet and the music is pretty sophisticated. No purple dinosaurs here. Even the costumes are hip and fun to look at. This is the next level up from the wheels on the bus set.

Kaboose Review: When I was handed this DVD on a business trip so that I could take it home for review, I had no idea how it would go. But when my three-year-old daughter dug it out of my suitcase and came running to me begging to put it on, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect--and I wasn’t disappointed.

The latest volume from Hi-5, Wonderful Wishes, has got everything a good kid’s video needs and more. Music, dance, valuable lessons and a fun, energetic cast. The music is not too cutesy, and actually pretty good. I don’t mind sitting with my enthralled toddler and listening for awhile. You’ll even find the songs sticking in your head. My personal favorite is the opening number, “You Are Some Kind of Wonderful.” I even found myself humming the goose flight school song to myself on the subway the next day.

As for the show, the actors are upbeat and positive, the set and costumes are bright and colorful, and the pace—fast moving. This video, unlike other popular kids’ shows out there, is all about getting your children on their feet and moving. My toddler couldn’t stay in her seat and danced with the music until she was ready to pass out. This video is positive and constructive entertainment for kids. My, how far we have come since the days of Tom and Jerry.

I highly recommend this DVD if you are looking for something clean, bright and educational, while still being entertaining, for your kids’ TV time.
