"Seeing the Unseen" is first in a series of animated stories based on Paws & Tales Radio Ministry created by David Carl. The story explores the idea of believing in God even though God can't be seen.

A group of youngsters known as The Club invite a new friend along on a camping trip to the wilderness with Paw Paw Chuck. After the big bear says a prayer, the group begins their hike into the mountains. Wally, the newcomer, confides in C.J. that he doesn't believe in God because it doesn't make sense to believe in something you can't see. Besides, Wally's anthropologist father says that scientists don't believe in what they can't prove with scientific evidence.

Concepts of the "unseen," like love, wind, and nature's harmony are gently woven through the storyline. Characters experience a breath-taking view of the ocean, the closeness of a campfire discussion, and then face fear when a huge windstorm begins to blow down trees in their camp.

In the end, Paw Paw Chuck asks Wally to keep an open mind about everything he has experienced. "Lots of things can't be touched or proven, but it doesn't make them any less true."

This story is tastefully presented and familiar in a quiet sort of way. Perhaps this is what was appealing to my daughter, yet my sons seemed somewhat indifferent.

Run-time is approximately 30 minutes.
