Snow Dogs
By Dave AnguzzaMPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Antagonistically witty and comical, this movie is just plain fun. The relationships are colorful and the antics have great appeal for the young viewer.
Without being utterly silly, this movie delivers a comedy that is very content appropriate for kids. The humor is warm and the characters are colorful. Cuba Gooding Jr.'s grimaces alone will bring you to laughter. And of course, the dogs add that kid appeal to the whole thing. Cute, cuddly and mischievous, your children will find the dogs appealing and fun. A good mix of antagonism and clumsy humor at times.
This movie also gives kids a look at life in other places like Alaska. It demonstrates a positive turn of events in the relationship between the main character and his father as well as the main character and his dogs. There are funny twists and turns.
Everything comes together nicely in this film as it shows a positive example for the outcome of things. It shows how different lives and different personalities can come together to find common ground. A very refreshing film to experience. Your children will enjoy every aspect of the film and perhaps come away with a few positive lessons in ife.
