SpongeBob Squarepants — Halloween
By: Jane Louise Boursaw
When you’ve got an episode titled "I Was a Teenage Gary," you know you’re dealing with some great writing that appeals to both kids and adults. This DVD includes 10 episodes, five of them with a Halloween theme. In "Gary," the little sponge with the cubicle pants accidentally turns into a snail-cat after being injected with pet Gary’s medicine. In "Scaredy Pants" he attempts to come up with the scariest costume ever. "Imitation Krabs" details Plankton's evil plan to trick SpongeBob into revealing the secret krabby patty recipe. In "Frankendoodle," SpongeBob uses a magical pencil to draw a self-portrait, which then comes to life, wreaking havoc all over Bikini Bottom. And in "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost," SpongeBob and Patrick mistake the grumpy Squidward (covered in talc powder) for a grown-up Casper. Need a laugh? This will do it. DVD also includes "Scaredy Pants" music video. Ages 5 and up. Not rated. 1999. Released on DVD May 13, 2003.
