The Tracys and secret agent Lady Penelope are members of the International Rescue Team. Their adventures take them all over the world and sometimes out of this world!

In the first DVD of the set, Thunderbirds Are Go, the team is called into action when the spaceship Zero X is sabotaged on its first take-off from Mars. The team stands by as security for the second launch attempt, but once the ship reaches its destination, its attacked by aliens. Once again, International Rescue is called in to save the day! Thunderbirds Are Go was the first feature length film made of the series. It was originally released in 1966.

In the second DVD, Lady Penelope is a passenger on the maiden voyage of Skyship One, a new passenger vessel. She's soon shocked to discover that the vessel has been hijacked and the original crew has been killed. Lady Penelope outwits her captors by sending a secret message to the International Rescue Team. They're soon on their way to help Lady Penelope defeat the terrorists. This movie was originally released in 1968.

The gift pack also includes pop-outs that allow children to assemble their own Thunderbird space vehicles and a set of magnets. There are many extra features in the DVD edition that you won't find in the original, including six featurettes, audio commentary and quizzes. The DVD also includes the original movie trailers.
