There are times in a person's career when it seems fit to skip around the room and tease all those who don't have your job. Reviewing this program brought on one of those moments. I loved it!
From the gracious maestro who guides your musical journey to the fantastically prepared building blocks, the encouraging audience to the succinct definitions, and even the silly grins of the animated notes, I wanted to round up each little person in my life and sit them in front of my computer.
Get ready to be amazed. You can create your own music, take lessons and play games that review the lessons, review your progress report, learn the elements of sound and rhythm, hear excerpts of classical compositions, and really feel like something is being accomplished. Whether the young person(s) in your life already study music or are just beginning, please supplement their study materials with this program. And remember to be patient while you wait for your turn.
Tips
Do not expect (or even attempt) to accomplish all 36 lessons in one sitting. Come to think of it, don't even try 18 in one sitting. Build your symphony slowly.
Pros
Each lesson lasts about 15 minutes so it can slide into any schedule. If you're stuck with a rainy day, multiple lessons can really sustain one's attention. And if you get bored, you can easily switch from games to lessons.
Cons
Wish this had been around when I was studying with the Royal Conservatory of music... you might be listening to me instead of reading me.
