My Special Storage Space

by Claudia Ann Sodaro

The picture of beauty boxes, Clickits board and more on the box cover, encourages the possibility of endless designs inside. From the point of view of two girls, ages 6 and 10, this was "cool," and before looking at the picture book of instructions inside the box, they already had begun clicking the flowers(pink, yellow, orange, green, white) onto pegs on the plastic storage boxes. Natural designers that they are, I suggested that they take a look at the instruction book to see what else they could construct. They did and immediately began clicking flowers on the enclosed plastic items, a ruler, paper clips, compact, picture frame and Clickit board.

Containing 190 pieces, this is a fun way for children to enjoy design, creativity and at the same time learn to organize their belongings and treasures. Lego recommends this kit for ages 6-99 and I can see why. As an adult, I had fun creating my own designs as well.
