Rush Hour
by Sabrina ZuccaroRush Hour is an educational game/puzzle that challenges children's sequential-thinking skills. There are 40 different puzzle challenge cards ranging from beginner to the expert level. The child chooses a card and places it on the grid as indicated. They must then move and shift the cars and trucks, without lifting them off the grid, that are blocking the red car from getting to the exit. This game is fun but also educational. It is something that I would certainly buy for my child and also use in my classroom. It is challenging (even for adults), and really requires the players to concentrate and strategize so that they can successfully complete the challenge. The suggested age is appropriate, although I think that a six or seven year old can also play with it. The more difficult cards may be a little too complex, even for an eight year old. The actual design of the puzzle/game is good. The grid surface of the puzzle allows the trucks and cars to fit and slide with ease. There is also a handy pull-out drawer to store the cards. If your child likes challenging puzzles, this one is great. They really get into it.
