Sarah - Hebrew Speaking Doll

by Hannah Slan Graff

Sarah is a Hebrew-speaking doll. Just press on various pressure points on Sarah's body and she comes to life. Sarah speaks about 25 child-appropriate phrases, first in English, then she repeats the same phrase in Hebrew. Among other things, Sarah can say "I love you", "What is your name", "I like to play with my friends", "Hello", "How are you", "My name is Sarah", etc..

Sarah is dressed in a blue short-sleeved T-shirt and a pink mini A-line dress. Her dress matches her pink handbag which is attached to her right hand. She is wearing white socks and black platform Mary-Jane shoes. She has blonde wooly hair with a yellow ribbon that matches the yellow pocket which is embroidered with a pretty flower on Sarah's dress. She has rosie pink cheeks and baby-safe eyes, nose and smile that are stitched on to Sarah's sweet face.

My eight-month-old daughter is probably a little young to fully appreciate Sarah's fine bilingual abilities, however, she does enjoy hugging Sarah's plush body. Sarah is constructed beautifully and there do not seem to be any choking hazards associated with this doll.

Sarah comes with 3AA batteries. Sarah comes with a translation booklet that contains a password that will open special pages on the Language Littles website. Language education makes for time well spent for children.

Cons

Sarah's Hebrew is sometimes difficult to decipher. Dressing and undressing Sarah can be difficult for younger children. Not a great doll for bedtime since she is quite chatty, with a somewhat loud volume.
