In this fantastic board game a sleeping lion slumbers to his favorite tune, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". His head is down as he sleeps and the music plays while you and your competitive counterparts roll the dice and move through the jungle in a daring effort to get to your picnic.
However, you never know when the music is going to stop and that grumpy lion is going to raise his head and roar with anger that someone is invading his jungle. Thankfully, there are bushes along the way that you can hide and take cover in. The dice helps you move along as you can roll for colors or by numbers depending on the age group that is playing.
Players move according to what was rolled on the die as they look to hide under bushes along the way just in case the lion awakens. If the lion does awakne and you are not hiding in a bush you have to move backwards to the nearest bush behind you. If you are already hiding in a bush when the lion awakens, you are safe to continue. Push his head back down and back to sleep he goes so you can make your next critical move.
The board game comes complete with a four-player option, playing board, one dice, and of course a sleeping lion.
The simplicity of the game allows even the youngest of children to play and allows for a fun time for family to get together and enjoy laughing and singing to the ever-famous song, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." The lion also comes with a volume control to taper the loudness of the lions song and roar.
