Thomas and Friends "Let's Have a Race" set is a great train set for children of any age. The set recreates one of Thomas's adventures with his friend Bertie. Little engineers can recreate the story through this interactive story-based set. The wooden tracks are easy to assemble and the additional play pieces such as the windmill, the stop signs and the exclusive hill top station (which is only available in this set) all make imaginative play more realistic. The great thing about this train set is that you can add other pieces, train characters, as well as other Thomas the Tank train sets. An additional bonus with this set is the fact that all straight track pieces come with a road which is found on the reverse side of the track.
My son really enjoys this track set. He loves Thomas and can spend hours playing and making up stories with the train pieces. The pieces are wooden which makes them more durable to withstand child play. He also likes the fact that he can incorporate other Thomas the Tank train pieces to the set.
As a parent, I think this is a great toy for young children because it entices their imagination and transports them into a world of fun and make believe.
