Totally Awesome is a fun game that kids can play by themselves or with adults. It's a combination of Trivial Pursuits and the dare part of the Truth or Dare game. There are two sets of cards, Totally Awesome cards which have trivia questions on them, and Fantastic Feat cards that have activities that you have to perform.

Each player in the game is a mountain climber. The goal of each climber is to be the first one to collect four flags on the mountain (by performing Fantastic Feats when they land on a space with a flag) and then continuing up to the top to perform one last feat for a winning purple flag.

Fantastic Feat Cards: These cards sometimes slow up the game, but are usually funny, so it keeps the game interesting. The feats are humorous when you get to watch someone else do them, and challenging when it's your turn. The best thing about the Fantastic Feats cards is that the instructions say that in order to get a flag, you need to execute the feat perfectly, or try your hardest. This is good, because some of the things required are either really hard to do, or require props that you might not have.

Totally Awesome Cards: There is a nice emphasis on kids being able to do amazing things and many of the questions on the cards have todo with things that kids have accomplished.

Tips

Decide on a rule before you start on how to handle Fantastic Feats that you can not accomplish. (For instance, there is one card that calls for a long blade of grass, which can be hard to find if there's snow on the ground.) We substituted items where we could, or picked another card.

Pros

Fun game that kids and adults can play together, or kids can play on their own. - Emphasis on kids in the trivia questions. The Fantastic Feats can have you rolling on the floor laughing.

Cons

Some of the Fantastic Feats may be too challenging. Props you may not have are sometimes required.
